John Paul Wilson, assistant professor in the Department of Psychology, is the lead author of a new study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology entitled: "Racial Bias in Judgments of Physical Size and Formidability: From Size to Threat."

Wilson discussed the study results in interviews with the Los Angeles Times and WKSU and the study findings were also covered by a variety of media outlets including CNN, The Independent, New York Daily News, and The Washington Post

Wilson’s research is broadly focused on the interplay of perceiver and target identities in social perception. It also focuses on first impressions, face memory, and social judgments.
