From Cali to Carnegie: Celebrating Jason Zacher’s Soaring Musical Journey!

Embarking on a melodic odyssey, Cali alum Jason Zacher takes center stage with The Atlanta Opera for their 2023-24 season.

Join us in celebrating the incredible journey of Cali alum Jason Zacher!

Having graduated from the Cali School (BM 2016 – Music Education), he is now embarking on an exciting new chapter as a Glynn Studio Artist with The Atlanta Opera for their 2023-24 season. Mr. Zacher will be featured in several mainstage productions, including well-known works like Frankenstein, Rigoletto, La bohème, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He will also be covering roles in The Atlanta Opera’s productions of The Shining and Die Walküre. But that’s not all— Jason is also thrilled to be making his Carnegie Hall debut this winter, performing as the bass soloist in Handel’s Messiah alongside The Masterwork Chorus.

Most recently, Mr. Zacher was a Young Artist at The Glimmerglass Festival, most notably performing the role of Argante in Rinaldo and covering Pangloss/Voltaire in Candide. He also had the honor of appearing in concert alongside singer-songwriter Nathalie Merchant and countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo. Mr. Zacher’s talents have graced the stages of companies such as Ars Lyrica Houston, Des Moines Metro Opera, Kentucky Opera, and Opera in the Heights. Notably, this past year, Jason was named an NY District Winner for the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. He has also received top accolades from various prestigious organizations, including the Jensen Foundation, Annapolis Opera, James Toland Vocal Arts, Rochester Oratorio Society, Opera Birmingham, and the National Opera Association, among others.
