Cali Pathways Student Khalid Abdallah Honored with National Awards
Posted in: Cali News
We are proud to share that Cali Pathways Project trumpet student Khalid Abdallah has been selected for From the Top’s Learning and Media Lab Fellowship and awarded the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award.
Khalid’s journey with the trumpet began on a family trip to Colombia in eighth grade, where he first discovered his passion for the instrument. Since then, his dedication has taken him to the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, the Bloomingdale School of Music, and now to the Juilliard School Pre-College, where he studies with Raymond Mase.
His performance experience already spans some of the most inspiring stages and ensembles for young musicians, including the New York Philharmonic Festival Youth Orchestra, Equity Arc Wind Symphony, Kinhaven Music School, and Carnegie Hall’s NYO-2, where he performed on tour in Scotland.
These honors recognize not only Khalid’s artistry, but also his leadership, hard work, and commitment to music.
Congratulations, Khalid, from all of us in the Cali Community!
