Calling All Red Hawks: Pep Band Wants You

The John J. Cali School of Music is inviting students from across Montclair State University to bring music, spirit, and energy to campus by joining the Montclair State University Pep Band.

The Pep Band performs at home football and basketball games, helping power the stands and build school pride throughout the year. It’s a lively, social, and rewarding way to keep playing your instrument, meet new people, and be part of the Red Hawk game-day experience.

Pep Band Weekly Rehearsal in Fall 2026

The band is currently looking for the following instruments:

Flute/Piccolo
Clarinet/Soprano Sax
Alto/Tenor/Bari Sax
Trumpet
Trombone
Baritone Horn
Tuba
Percussion
Electric Guitar
Keyboard

Please note that electric guitar and keyboard players should reach out in advance, as parts need to be created for these instruments.

Members receive a $150 stipend for participating.
