M.A.

MA Performance The M.A. degree program in Performance focuses on developing and nurturing advanced technical skills and artistic growth. Our faculty and staff work closely with each student to build on prior musical experiences and develop the tools needed for a performing career. 

Concentrations available
All orchestral and band instruments, piano, guitar, organ, harpsichord and voice.

Performance requirements for graduation
Two individual recitals; participation in a variety of ensembles.
(Students often perform in venues outside the Cali School as well.)

The auditioning student must demonstrate outstanding instrumental or vocal ability and motivation toward high standards of performance. 

Our faculty are seasoned veterans of the concert stage, whose careers have included performances in the United States, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Italy, Vietnam, and Brazil. They have included members of the New York Philharmonic, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and the New York Met Orchestra, and members of our voice faculty have performed with opera companies throughout the world, including Milan's La Scala and the New York Metropolitan Opera. Their close ties with New York and international performing and teaching organizations offer students exciting connections the most vibrant music centers in the United States and abroad.
