The College of Education and Human Services is excited to announce our newly established Lactation Room located in UNIV-3122 (across the hallway from the Student Success Center).

The lactation room is available to all MSU students, employees, and visitors, who are breastfeeding.

In creating the lactation room, the goal was to provide a private, comfortable, and welcoming environment intended for new mothers. The room contains: a comfortable recliner, desk, pillows, power strip for multiple plug-ins, cabinet with drawers to store pump equipment (if needed), space heater, library, and a bulletin board with resources and information.

Special thanks to Dean Lucas for supporting new mothers’ need for privacy in making this space available for our College. We also thank the many generous employees, students, and local mothers from Montclair, Glen Ridge, and Nutley for donating every item that is currently in the room.

Please join us for the official opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on April 25, 2018 at 2pm.
