Two educators within the College of Education and Human Services were recently named as Professing Excellence Award winners from Leadership Development at Montclair State University.
Dr. Robert Horn, Associate Professor in Exercise Science and Physical Education, is the recipient of the Meaningful Impact Award. This award is for those who have demonstrated outstanding service to a Montclair State University student that has impacted their life. This could have been through a conversation after a class, in a meeting, or while in class. The recipient may or may not have known of this impact they had on the student nominating them.
Christopher Cottle, Department Advisor in Family Science and Human Development, was awarded the Outstanding Dedication to Student Education award. Through their dedication and commitment to students at Montclair State University, this individual has made a significant impact on one or more students in the community over the past academic year. They have positively influenced students inside or outside the classroom, and the award recipient was selected based on the breadth and depth of dedication to student education.
The Professing Excellence Awards are open to any Montclair State University professor, both adjunct and full-time. The purpose of the Professing Excellence Award is to highlight and acknowledge educators who make meaningful contributions to our students’ lives both inside and outside the classroom. All nominees were evaluated based on the extent to which they have made meaningful contributions and the level of impact on the students.
