After being exposed to numerous problems through conferences and volunteering I saw the struggle through policy communities face to produce food. This inspired me to focus on food systems as a dietitian. I wish to use the resources provided to me as a dietitian to give communities control over their food system.

In the future I would like to work as an RD in sustainable agriculture and food security. Bridging all the knowledge I have acquired through academic and personal experiences, I aspire to work for an organization that is on the cutting edge of urban agriculture and food technology.

This includes aeroponics and aquaponics, to improve the current food system by building upon the strength of sustainability in the realm of food production. I strive to change food policies by creating a direct care system that will provide resources for lacking communities; fundamentally improving society and the food system. I have accomplished becoming the Vice President of Montclair State Dietetics Organization and have dedicated three years learning and developing a variety of skills I can use in my professional career. Here at Montclair State University I have gained constant reassurance, inspiration, and instruction from my professors. Talking to professors outside of my major has allowed me to gain resources in different areas of nutrition, this by far has influenced me to be involved with my current passions.
