Kimya Jackson, Adjunct Instructor and Doctoral Student, Selected as 2019 Educator of the Year

Kimya Jackson, a doctoral student in the Teacher Education Teacher Development program and adjunct instructor of Social Studies and the Arts, was recently named the 2019 Educator of the Year for the West Orange Chamber of Commerce Community Awards. Kimya is a second-grade teacher at the Redwood Elementary School in West Orange, New Jersey.

Superintendent of West Orange, Eveny de Mendez, noted that Kimya “[exemplifies] all that is best about our schools and the district.”

Kimya will be awarded at the 2019 Annual Community Awards Dinner for the West Orange Chamber of Commerce on May 13, 2019.
