Why did you choose this field of study?  Why did you choose the program at Montclair State University?

I chose this field of study because I love math and I have always enjoyed teaching. I chose the program at Montclair State because ever since I was in grammar school, I would go on school field trips to Montclair State- I fell in love with the campus and everyone was so nice.

What is the best part of your program?

The best part of my program is the support. There is always someone around to help you and guide you in the direction you need to go.

What was your favorite class or experience in the program, and why was that so important to you?

My favorite class is SASE-210 because it is the first time you get in the classroom and have some type of student teaching experience– it made me fall in love with the idea of teaching even more. I was able to be behind the scenes to see how a teacher manages different classes and how they handle the work.

What are your plans for after graduation?

I still have three more semesters in my program, but I am planning to come back to graduate school and pursue my master’s in education.

Is there anything else you would like to share about your program or the College of Education & Human Services?

I would like to share that Montclair has a great program and that there is always someone available to guide you in the right direction. Success is all about communication, so make sure to ask questions.
