Northeast Regional Conference for Korean American Scientists and Engineers Association Holds Online Conference
Posted in: College News and Events
Due to Covid-19, the 28th Northeast Regional Conference (NRC) for the Korean American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) was successfully offered via Zoom on March 28, 2020. Zoom is a cloud-based video conferencing service allowing users to virtually meet. It was the first time that this conference was offered fully online.
The conference was originally scheduled to be held at the Conference Center on the 7th floor of University Hall. Dean Lucas and the College of Education and Human Services offered advice on program planning while dealing with all the drastic changes on and outside the campus. Despite the challenges, the NRC program planning committee was able to quickly move toward an online conference.
Dr. Yeon Bai, Professor in the Nutrition and Food Studies Department and Dr. Soyoung Lee, Associate Professor in the Family Science and Human Development Department are active members of the organization and attended the Zoom meeting.
KSEA is a non-profit organization contributing to the social welfare and industrial development in the United States and Korea through the promotion of science and engineering. Learn more about the organization.
