Dr. Stephanie Silvera, Professor in the Public Health Department, recently noted Governor Phil Murphy’s role in NJ amidst the coronavirus health crisis for NJ.com. Dr. Silvera stated, “I think from what I’ve known of Phil Murphy, he believes in science and therefore is following the science. I don’t think he’s giving the mixed message of the seriousness of where we are in this pandemic.” Additionally, she added, “This is a really challenging time to be a governor of a densely populated state.”

NJ.com noted, “‘This is a war,’ Murphy constantly says as he tries to unite New Jersey. ‘We rise and fall as one family.’”
