New Book by Dr. Zoe Burkholder – Integrations: The Struggle for Racial Equality and Civic Renewal in Public Education

Dr. Zoe Burkholder, Assistant Professor in the Educational Foundations Department, recently published her new book Integrations: The Struggle for Racial Equality and Civic Renewal in Public Education

Dr. Burkholder is a historian of education whose research focuses on the history of racial equality and school integration in the United States. In her new book, Dr. Burkholder and philosopher Lawrence Blum take a deep dive into this country’s school segregation and just and equitable educational opportunities.

Additionally, Dr. Burklholder is the author of Color in the Classroom: How American Schools Taught Race, 1900-1954, as well as numerous scholarly journal articles and political commentaries.
