Dr. Evan Matthews Provides Self-Care Tips for Ohio News Time

He promotes walking with loved ones

Dr. Evan Matthews, Assistant Professor of Exercise Science and Physical Education, recently gave self-care tips to Ohio News Time.

Walking is a great way to reduce anxiety and stress, especially outside of nature. It also helps increase energy levels and increases stamina to complete the tasks on the list. Dr. Matthews added, “Enjoy with your loved ones. Other forms of exercise do offer similar health benefits, but exercise. Walking is a great option for those unfamiliar with it.”

He added that walking removes “the learning curve that occurs in new forms of physical activity and the threatening factors that many people feel when they start.”
