Dr. Maughn Gregory Invited to Give Keynote Address
at 30th Anniversary Conference of the Federation of Asia-Pacific Philosophy in Schools Associations

Dr. Maughn Gregory, Professor in the Educational Foundations Department and Director of the Institute for the Advancement of Philosophy for Children, was recently invited to give the keynote address at the upcoming 30th Anniversary Conference for the Federation of Asia-Pacific Philosophy in Schools Associations (FAPSA).
The conference will take place this October in Melbourne, Australia, and online. The theme of the conference is “Communities of Inquiry: Significance, Cultural Change and the Ongoing Relationship to P4wC.”
Dr. Gregory publishes and teaches in the areas of philosophy of education, philosophy for children, pragmatism, gender studies, and Socratic and contemplative pedagogies. He is co-editor of the Routledge International Handbook of Philosophy for Children (Routledge 2017) and, with Megan Laverty, the Routledge series Philosophy for Children Founders. He has edited a number of special journal issues on philosophy for children and is currently serving as the inaugural Research Coordinator for the International Council of Philosophical Inquiry with Children. He also serves as Vice President for Personnel / Grievance Officer for the American Federation of Teachers, Local 1904
