The relationship between advisor and advisee is one of shared responsibility. While students are ultimately responsible for the fulfilling requirements for degree completion, they should seek advising at least once a semester. Advisors help students make informed decisions, develop academic and career goals, and assist with planning for the future. Meeting with an advisor can also help you clarify objectives, choose courses, track progress, and make decisions supportive of graduating on time.
