Alexa Tabbacchio, Marco Piazza, and Cayla Ingram, three students in the Audio/Sound Design and Recording Arts and Production majors, received NAMM Presidential Scholarships to attend the 2024 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA in January 2024. Dr. David Sanders, Professor in the School of Communication and Media, and Dr. Bryan Powell, Assistant Professor in the John J. Cali School of Music also attended.

The NAMM Show is an annual trade show in the United States organized by the National Association of Music Merchants, which describes it as “the industry’s largest stage, uniting the global music, sound, and entertainment technology communities.”

I am beyond grateful for my experience at NAMM through the Lamond GenNext Award. Getting to immerse myself into this convention for the first time was musically, educationally, and socially exhilarating. I made connections with professionals and students across the nation who love music and audio just like I do! I absolutely intend on going back in years to come, and highly recommend that music and audio students apply for this life changing scholarship. Thank you to Dr. David Sanders and Dr. Bryan Powell for their guidance and support during the application process and NAMM experience!
