Academic, Personal and Wellness Support.
Posted in: Announcements, Dean of Students News, Featured News
At Montclair State University on both of our campuses, your well-being and success are at the heart of everything we do. College life can be exciting, but it can also bring challenges. Please know that you are never alone here because Montclair Cares.
Academic Support
If you’re struggling in your classes, whether it’s keeping up with assignments, attendance, or needing extra help, your professors and advisors can connect you to support through Navigate. These alerts aren’t about getting you in trouble; they’re about helping you succeed and making sure you have access to tutoring and academic resources when you need them
Personal and Wellness Support
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. If you or a friend are facing stress, mental health concerns, family issues, or basic needs challenges like food or housing insecurity, you can submit a CARE Report. Our CARE Team, led by professionals who are here to help, will reach out with compassion and connect you to the right resources
Montclair Cares Resources
Through the Montclair Cares initiative, you’ll find a central hub of resources designed to support you across both campuses:
- Red Hawk Food Pantry & Rocky’s Closet: Access to food, clothing, and other essentials to meet your basic needs.
- Dean of Students Office: Dedicated staff who can help with complex situations, including housing insecurity and personal or academic concerns.
- Immigration Support: Guidance and education to help you understand your options and protections.
- Wellness and Counseling Services: Confidential services to support your mental health and overall physical and mental well-being.
