WMSC 90.3 FM is a Fifth-Time Marconi Finalist!

WMSC 90.3 FM, the official student radio station of Montclair State University, is a finalist for a 2023 National Association Broadcasters (NAB) Marconi Radio Award in the “College Radio Station of the Year” category. This is the fifth time the station has received a Marconi nomination, and the fourth time in this category.
The nominations is the latest in a series of awards or recognition for the station, including eight Intercollegiate Broadcasting System awards in March, three national awards for College Broadcasters, Inc. (CBI) in October, and the Best College Radio Station from Intercollegiate Broadcasting System in 2021.
Annabella Poland is the General Manager of WMSC-FM. Her dedication and service to the students has also been acknowledged by several organizations. In 2021, Poland earned the Joel Willer award in recognition of exceptional dedication and service to student electronic media. In 2019, she received the Jeff Tellis Outstanding Advisor Award which is presented to one advisor in the country to note outstanding leadership, dedication, and service. In 2016, Poland was awarded the “Meaningful Impact Award” at Montclair State University’s Professing Excellence Awards.
