Map for Construction Update for Week of October 15

Construction is ongoing for the new combined heating, cooling, and power (CHCP) plant next to CarParc Diem (formerly Parking Lot 26).

  • On Monday, October 15, the piping installation behind the Red Hawk Diner will extend into the eastern portion of Parking Lot 17. This will result in the loss of approximately 14 spaces in Lot 17. See the updated construction map for the current conditions.
  • On Monday, October 22, the piping installation is scheduled to continue through the larger portion of Lot 17. An update and updated map for that portion will be distributed on Friday, October 19.
  • The installation of piping adjacent to the Speech Building is in progress and will continue to extend across toward Schmitt Hall. One of the north/south passageways will remain open between Life Hall and Schmitt Hall during the piping installation.
  • On Tuesday, October 16, PSE&G will be replacing the light fixtures on Yogi Berra Drive between Valley Road and the Yogi Berra Museum. One lane of the road will remain open at all times.

All roadways and pedestrian routes will be clearly marked so the campus community can navigate around the construction areas easily. All buildings will remain open and accessible.

We will continue to issue regular updates on the progress of the construction by email and on our website, CHCP.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and support with our effort to improve the University infrastructure.
