The 2025-2026 Season is on!

The Department of Theatre and Dance offers a wide array of performance opportunities – ranging from student-generated, independent projects to full-scale Department productions. Students perform in, direct, design, build sets for, and help manage productions that draw thousands of audience members annually.

General and Senior tickets generally range from approximately FREE-$25!

All Montclair State University undergraduate students get (1) one FREE ticket per production. Students must go to the Alexander Kasser Theater Box Office window by showing their Montclair State University student ID and providing a Montclair State University email address and phone number. Student tickets cannot be secured over the phone or online.

The Theatre and Dance Series is the Department of Theatre and Dance’s main production season, featuring five to seven theatrical productions and three dance concerts annually. Selected works span classic and contemporary repertoire, exposing students to a broad range of styles. The Studio Theatre Series offers a more flexible, low-cost environment for students and faculty to create work quickly. Focused on acting as an art form, it serves as a laboratory for exploration, emphasizing character, voice, speech, and movement over full production elements.
