One of the most onerous processes for students is to complete the FAFSA application for Financial Aid. This is made even more time consuming and complicated when students are selected by the Department of Education for verification and are requested to submit supporting documents such as tax documents, passports or other citizenship related documents. Nearly 40% of Montclair State University students who receive financial aid have to complete this complex process. The Financial Aid Office has now put into place a simplified and highly secure web portal to easily organize and transmit these sensitive documents. If a student is selected for verification, he/she will receive instructions on how to use the new simplified and secure system.
