Banner Workflow is an Ellucian provided product which enables automating approval process flows for common student processes. Workflow processes can span multiple functional areas and enable faster and more efficient processing.
Our initial workflow development in the Office of the Registrar delivered a self-service web page for instructors to enter grade changes for students online. Since launch in January, over 400 grade changes have already been processed for students much more efficiently than before. Department Chairs and College Deans are automatically notified about the request and can electronically “approve” the request which immediately updates the student record in Banner.
We are currently working through a prioritized list of a dozen additional workflows and anticipate delivery of Hold Releases in April.
