Chatbots are artificial intelligence (AI) systems that engage website visitors in an interactive fashion providing quick answers, round the clock availability, and fast resolution of issues. The University has been using the Ivy.ai chatbot on our Admissions website for a few years, supplementing our Admissions staff in providing information regarding application requirements and status in a convenient and cost-effective way. We now plan to expand the use of chatbots to other student services.
A multi-disciplinary team from the University recently evaluated current chatbot vendors and, after careful consideration, decided to expand the Ivy.ai platform to support additional needs across campus. You will see our new chatbot supplementing Red Hawk Central and supporting Enrollment Management functions by the start of fall term.
