Mission Statement
Montclair State University’s Division of Information Technology is responsible for all enterprise information technologies across campus including:
- Enterprise Technology Services
- The wired and wireless network, data centers, servers and operating software, and landline and cell phones.
- Enterprise Application Services
- Implementation and support of enterprise applications including our Student Information System (Banner), Finance (Workday), Human Resources and Payroll (Workday), our application portal (NEST), and our reporting and analytic tools.
- Technical Support Services
- Direct client-facing support including the IT Service Desk providing phone/ email/ chat support for all campus technologies, desktop/laptop deployment and support for faculty and staff, and audio-visual and desktop equipment deployment and support in classrooms, student labs and collaboration spaces.
- Information Security
- The Information Security Department at Montclair State University is dedicated to protecting the university’s information assets and ensuring a secure, resilient IT environment. The department manages key areas of cybersecurity, digital identities, identity access control, risk assessments, threat detection, incident response, and regulatory compliance.
The Division of Information Technology works closely with college/school/division technology coordinators and resources to optimize selection, deployment and integration of enterprise and local technologies to meet campus-wide information and processing needs.
