Summer Parking Permits

Starting May 1, 2024, Summer permits will be available online. Please refer to the Parking Regulations for comprehensive information.

To acquire a permit, please visit www.montclair.edu/parking and select “Get A Permit.” It’s important to note that obtaining a permit is mandatory for on-campus parking. Permits are allocated based on enrollment and student classification, with information from the Office of the Registrar, and are valid from May 1 to August 31, 2024.

You’ve Got Two Options

Students enrolled in summer courses have the option to purchase either a General/Commuter permit for $25.00 (plus tax) or a Red Hawk Deck Permit for $50 (plus tax) for the summer sessions. Others intending to park on campus during the summer months can purchase a General/Commuter permit for $25.00 (plus tax).

General/Commuter parking allows you to park in commuter (yellow) lots and the CarParc Diem Parking Garage or Lot 19 during the following hours:

  • Every Day: 4 p.m. – 3:30 a.m.
  • Weekends: 4 p.m. Friday – 3:30 a.m. Monday
  • Overnight parking is permitted in commuter (yellow) surface lots.

Students holding permits for the Academic Year 2023-2024, including NJ Transit permit holders, are required to obtain a summer permit if they wish to park on campus. Current permits expire on May 31, 2024. View Details About Parking Regulations.
