The University provides cyber/information security awareness training to ensure that all employees understand how to avoid common cyber threats and mistakes that can put both the University and personal information at risk. The training is also required to comply with related regulatory and insurance requirements.

  • What is Vector Solutions?

Vector Solutions provides online training for industries like education, public safety, and business. Their courses cover topics such as workplace safety, cybersecurity, and HR compliance. They help organizations stay compliant and improve employee skills.

  • How do I login?

You will receive an email from Safe Colleges with a link indicating a training has been assigned to you or you can access the platform here: Vector Solutions Training Login

  • What web browser do I use?
    • Apple Safari
    • Google Chrome
    • Mozilla Firefox
    • Internet Explorer
  • Help! Vector isn’t loading!
    • Clear your browser cache and cookies
      • Your cache is like a garbage can within your Internet browser that eventually fills up with trash that will need to be emptied every once in a while. Not emptying it can result in sluggish Internet browsing and poor program performance
    • One Window Rule
      • Vector Solutions recommends that users complete their training on the system within one active window or tab
    • Check your Browser Settings
      • Popup windows must be enabled
      • JavaScript must be enabled
      • Cookies must be enabled
  • Can I do the training on my phone?

Yes, Vector Solutions is mobile responsive, so you are able to access the platform via an internet browser on your smartphone or tablet

  • What will I be learning in this training?

This self-guided training will be on the following subjects:

      1. Phishing and Spear Phishing
      2. PII and Identity Theft
      3. Mobile Internet Access
      4. Safe Website Surfing
      5. Safe Computer Usage
      6. Password Management
      7. Physical Security
  • I took this last year; do I have to do it again?

Yes. Cybersecurity training is an annual training that must be completed each year to comply with related regulatory and insurance requirements

  • How do I confirm I’ve completed the training?

Click “Training History” on the left hand side of the screen. If there is no completion date then your training is incomplete

You may also choose to click the title of your training and view what is incomplete

  • I need my certificate! How do I access it?

If you have completed your training you will find your certificate of completion in the “Training History” section located on the left hand side of the screen

How to Print Certification of Completion

  • Can I set the language preferences once?

Yes! On the left-hand sidebar, you’ll see ‘Languages.’ Click it, and a new window will open where you can select your language options.

  • I’m having issues with my training, who do I contact?
