The School of Communication and Media has added courses to its Winter 2022 Semester catalog, providing students with the opportunity to take prerequisite and other classes that could accelerate their paths to graduation.

The courses being offered are:

CMDA 220 Writing for the Media taught by Dr. Tara George

CMST 101 Fundamentals of Speech taught by Dr. Chris McKinley (currently full, but students can be placed on a wait list)

FMTV 310 Intermediate Screenwriting taught by Professor Guy Nicolucci

STCM 233 PR Writing Across Media taught by Professor Keith Green

These courses are fully online and run from Dec. 21 through Jan. 14. Students will receive three credits, just as they would with a traditional Spring or Fall semester.

“We are extremely pleased to offer these courses during the Winter Semester,” said Dr. Keith Strudler, Director of the School of Communication and Media. “Students have asked for more opportunities to take courses during non-traditional semesters. We will continue to expand our catalog in all of our majors during each semester, especially with our new Advertising major starting in the Fall of 2022.”
