Career & Internship Fair

  • Wednesday, March 15
  • 1:30-4:30 p.m.
  • University Hall 7th Floor, Conference Center

Students of all levels are invited to network with employers from a wide variety of industries! This event is open to all students, alumni and community members. Attendees must comply with the University’s safety protocols. Please bring plenty of copies of your resume and your Montclair State University Student ID. Registration Is Required through Handshake!

Job and Internship Postings in Handshake

New jobs and internships are added to Handshake every day. Follow the steps below to help you as you begin your search!

  • Login to Handshake.
  • Click on the “Jobs” link in the upper right corner of your screen and use search features to narrow results:
    • Keyword Search Bar: Search for roles by job title, employer name or even required skill.
    • Location: Enter any geographic preferences you have in the “Location” dropdown.
    • Additional Filters: You can also filter by: Job Type: (internship, on-campus, full-time, part-time, paid, unpaid), All Employers Preferences Match, Work Authorization, Industry and Job Function!
  • Limit your keyword search to positions corresponding to the functions you select.
  • Click the “Show Results” button on the lower right corner to see your search results.
  • After you click the Save your Job Search link at the top of your results, you can set up job alerts (email notifications) when similar positions are posted. If you find a position that interests you and you are not ready to apply, you can ‘favorite’ it by clicking the star on the upper right of the corner of the position and apply later.
