How to Apply as a Graduate Student

Graduate Application Overview
Step 1: Choose Your Program of Study
Each Montclair State University graduate program has its own admission requirements and deadlines.
Review the Admission Requirements and Application Checklist on your program’s webpage to see exactly what you need to submit and when.
Step 2: Register for an Account
Create an application account so you can submit your application, upload required documents, and track your status in the Applicant Status Portal.
Step 3: Submit Your Application and Upload Additional Documents
Set aside about 10 minutes to complete the online application; you can save and return later through the application portal login page.
After you submit, you will see a full list of required materials – such as transcripts, recommendations, test scores and essays – inside your portal.
