With three job and internship fairs over the past month, Career Services was able to connect with students and employers from all industries, backgrounds and majors!

Data Snapshot

  • Over 2,500 student check-ins
  • 165 employer participants hiring for part-time and full time jobs and internships
  • Representation from nonprofit and for-profit organizations in industries such as; healthcare, law, technology, community development, business, accounting, finance and many many more.

You Attended a Career Fair, Now What?

  • Follow up on your connections: Spoke with a hiring manager at the fair? Received business cards from recruiters or company representatives? Follow up with a quick email recapping your conversation and the roles you may be interested in. Even if you don’t see a job posted that appeals to you now, it doesn’t mean you won’t see something exciting in the near future. Making a connection and building your professional network is a great way to open doors.
  • Keep the momentum going: Spoke about a specific job? Apply now while it’s still fresh in your mind and be sure to tailor your cover letter to mention your experience and excitement about the role or the organization.
  • Start working on your resume and cover letter: Have a strong resume so you’re ready to hit the ground running. Book your appointment in Handshake to get started.
  • Pat yourself on the back! Coming to professional events can be intimidating, but you did it, take a moment to celebrate yourself.
