EMPLOYMENT/CAREER SERVICES

THE CENTER FOR CAREER SERVICES AND COMMUNITY-BASED LEARNING
Location: Morehead Hall, Room 337
Phone: (973) 655-5194
The Center for Career Services and Community-based Learning provides a comprehensive approach to career exploration, personal development, and a service to the community. The Center assists students with all phases of the career decision-making process, from choosing a major, finding part-time work while attending school, planning long-term career goals to obtaining full-time work after graduation. Additionally, each year the office attracts a wide variety of employers for on-campus recruitment and annual career fairs. In workshops and through individual counseling and vocational testing, students learn how to set approprite goals and how to conduct a subsequent job search. Students are encouraged to begin using the Center early in their college years. The office has a library with extensive information about careers, employer and employment trends. Students also are urged to visit the office home page at www.montclair.edu/careerservices to learn more.

For Co-op internships (credit-bearing) and Service Learning information, please see the UNDERGADUATE SPECIFIC RESOURCES AND SERVICES section of the Student Handbook.

The Center for Career Services and Community-based Learning is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During the semester the office remains open on Monday and Thursday evening until 7:00 p.m.
