INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS

EDUCATION CENTER

The Global Education Center at Montclair State University coordinates
all international endeavors on campus, plans new efforts and enhances
international programs at the University. Through semester and summer
session study abroad programs and links with international institutions,
the Center provides opportunities for students to travel and study in
over 50 countries. The Center encourages faculty to develop
international expertise in their disciplines by facilitating scholarly
research, teaching exchanges, travel programs and participation in
international conferences. Through partnerships with international
institutions, it assists in developing collaborative undergraduate and
graduate programs delivered through traditional and long distance
learning means. The center administers the Office of International
Student and Scholar Services, Study Abroad, and International Summer

International Services (I.S.) is responsible for the
general growth, development, and welfare of all international students,
scholars, and faculty on campus. I.S. provides advising on legal
matters pertaining to Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS)
regulations, and individual advising and workshops in the areas of
adjustment to Montclair State University and the United States. In
addition, orientation sessions are held twice each year for students and
scholars, and immigration workshops are scheduled throughout the year.
Liaison services for students,
faculty, and scholars with the U.S. State Department, the U.S.
Citizenship and Immigration Service, and U.S. Embassies and Consulates
also are provided. All new international students, scholars, and faculty
should contact this office before enrolling in classes or beginning employment. International Studies maintains a current interactive website. Visit
