Purchasing Computer Equipment
Montclair State University has standardized on Lenovo and Apple equipment. All standardized equipment is fully supported by the IT Service Desk and the local academic technology teams. To see a list of standards, please go to Computer Hardware Configurations to via a list of approved models.
PC Ordering Process
- To order Lenovo equipment please login to Workday to submit your order.
Mac Ordering Process

- To order Apple equipment using a quote, please ensure that you use this contract number when placing an order.
Please request a quote for standard equipment from our Inside Sales Executive. To order items not on the punchout, please use the Apple Store to obtain a quote.
- Apple Education
Visit the Apple Store for Education to order peripherals, create/view quotes, place orders, check your order status.
New Users must register in order to access the store. Apple will grant access in up to 24 hours after your request has been submitted.

Disposing of Computer Equipment
All University computing equipment must be disposed of properly. It against University policy for anyone to take equipment home for personal purposes. In order to dispose of equipment, please contact the IT Service Desk at 973-655-7971, option 1 or at email@example.com.
