AFT Professional Staff – Evaluation and Reappointment

Montclair State University professional staff (“AFT Professional Staff”) appointed to positions included in the collective negotiations agreement between the State of New Jersey and the Council of New Jersey State College and University Locals – AFL-CIO (“Council”) are subject to performance reviews and contract reappointment based on Article XIII, Appointment and Retention of Employees of the agreement. AFT Professional staff are eligible for five (5) annual probationary contracts and, upon completion of five-years of probationary service, are eligible for appointment to a multi-year contract.

AFT Professional Staff must submit a request for reappointment, based on their years of service, using the reappointment schedules listed below. All performance reviews are processed in Workday.
